In the video it says to combine cream cheese, sugar and egg whites. But in instructions it doesnโt say anything about using the egg whites. Please advise, I want to make on thanksgiving morning! Thank you
Hi Sus, thank you for pointing that out. I went in and fixed it. The recipe should say to add the egg white to the cream cheese and sugar mixture, and use the egg yolk for the egg wash on the exterior of the braid to help it brown up. Thanks again!
This is a really great recipe! Iโve made this many times! Also made with all kinds of canned fruits and itโs just as tasty. Thank you for the recipe!
This was very delicious, however I placed it on silpat, because rolling it out on parchment paper was sliding all over the place. Next time I would skip the silpat and just spray the pan and place on the sheet pan, so the crust would be crispy. I will probably try with phyllo dough to make it more flaky. I made this Christmas morning it was so easy and delicious, the crust was just soft. I cooked it 20 min, maybe should have done longer.
I made this braid last week, and it was so good; it put a smile on my husband’s face, and I just loved the taste. Nothing better than Cherrys, cream cheese, and Almonds!
Could you also use puff pastry for this recipe.
Tasty and so easy to put together. It was hard to stop at just one piece. Thanks Alyssa and Happy Mother’s Day to you.
Easy to make, beautiful presentation and delicious!
