My wife is gluten intolerant, and because of that I also sometimes use instant potatoes. Plain potato flakes do not alter the taste. However the flavored flakes (sour cream and onion, three cheese, etc.) often actually offer subtle enhancement to a recipe. I just add them a little at a time while stirring until the desired thickness is achieved. For me, it turns out so well that now I would often do it because of how it thickens without adding the “raw flour” taste.

Oh My Gosh!!! The reviews were spot on. I made this last night for my family, I’m doing Keto and they are not but this dish was a huge hit! I tripled the recipe, I used the sundered tomato oil instead of olive oil and added some salt & pepper to the uncooked chicken. I had to add some extra parmesan cheese to thicken up the sauce at the end but who cares it was amazing! Best part there was just a little left over (fed 8) and it is just as good if not better the next day. So thankful for this recipe.

This is so good I have served it many times and it is always a big success. I do make my own pound cake and additionally homemade vanilla pudding as I think all trifle needs that but the rest is all the same. Seems really light and not too sweet so it is great after a nice meal.
