Baking Tips
If you are going to get a start on baking all of these amazing girl scout recipes, then you definitely want to read through a few of these baking tips! They are helfpul no matter which recipe you use. Go ahead and try them, they will help any recipe turn out better!
- Read the recipe and tips: If you take the time to read the entire girl scout recipe all the way through before baking, you will find some specific things that I found helpful! Plus, reading it all the way through will tell you any substitutions that you can use!
- Room temperature ingredients: It takes a bit of thought beforehand but it’s well worth it! Set your ingredients out and get them to room temperature before baking. This helps create a smooth, uniform texture and it really helps when combining your ingredients together!
- Keep your over door closed: The less that you open that door while baking, the better off your food will be! When you let out all of the hot air then it interrupts the baking. This means thatyour food might not end up cooked properly! Use your oven light instead!
- Chill the cookie dough: If you chill the cookie dough before you make it, then your cookies are less likely to spread. This means that you will end up with a thicker, more solid cookie that has a better taste! Once the dough is done chilling, take it out. Let it sit at room temperature for about 5-10 minutes. Then, shape it into balls, put them on a baking sheet and you are good to go!

Girl Scout Cookies – a fundraiser for the Girl Scouts. I buy, and they send then to our troops for me. So making these should not keep people from supporting an incredible organization.
