Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

Korean Ground Beef and Rice Bowls

This right here is my boy’s favorite weeknight meal. They beg me to make it every week. Since we have been so busy with Lacrosse, we have been having it every week. It requires minimal ingredients and little effort to make.

With minimal ingredients and big flavor, my kids devour it every time. The ground beef browns in minutes but still brings that classic Korean taste with brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger. I always have these simple ingredients on hand, so all I need is a pound of ground beef to make it happen. Serve it over rice, toss in some veggies, and top with sesame seeds and green onions for a quick, delicious dinner you’ll make again and again. If you love these flavors, try my Slow Cooker Korean BBQ Chicken next!

Simple and quick… my family loved it! Will be adding it to our dinner rotation! Used the leftover sauce to sauté mushrooms and added it to the beef. Will add other veggies next time.

Love this recipe. Sauce works perfectly with any meat or poultry. Cut up chicken tenderloins into bite size pieces , wonderful! Great for meal prep lunches too! I just made extra rice for my containers and spooned the Korean beef or chicken on top. Thank you!

My wife and I make this recipe at least once a month. It’s SO simple – literally just cooking the beef and combining all the ingredients. It makes for great leftovers. We’ve probably been making it for two years or so now, and still haven’t gotten tired of it. One thing I do every now and then is serving over ramen noodles instead of rice, in which case I double the recipe’s sauce.

Wow this is so good!!! I used fresh ginger, added half an onion and topped with shredded carrots… and can’t forget the sriracha. So tasty! I also made a little more sauce than what it called for and paired it with white rice and broccoli. This recipe is so versatile. Thanks for this tasty recipe! I’ll be adding it to our rotation.

Our family really likes this dinner. It cooks up fast and is nice when I want to make a quicker meal. I think it’s best if you double or even triple the sauce side. So there is extra to just put on the rice. And I add frozen veggies and cook an onion in the meat. Good stuff ?

I just made this and my family just loved this recipe…I used stew meat instead of ground beef I also tenderized the meat before cooking. I added a few tablespoons of flour to make a little gravy. Will be making it again using sesame oil. Didn’t have sesame oil so I used olive oil.
