Ingredients in Whipped Feta Dip
Okay, I know that this list of ingredients isn’t stuff that you would normally put together but trust me!! It tastes SO GOOD! See the recipe card at the end of the post for exact measurements.
- Feta cheese: You can used crumbled or a block!
- Cream cheese: If you take the time to set this out 30 minutes before then it will mix up SO smooth!
- Garlic cloves: If you don’t have fresh cloves then you can use minced garlic! 1/2 teaspoon equals about 1 clove of garlic.
- Olive Oil: This helps blend everything together.
- Lemon juice and zest: If you use a fresh lemon, you will never go back! I love how fresh it makes this taste!
- Salt: The salt really brings out the flavor of all of the other ingredients!
- Pepper: A tiny bit of pepper makes all the difference. You don’t need much!
- Red pepper flakes: This brings in the BEST flavor without any heat!

I love a good feta dip, this recipe was very bland-I added more garlic, which helped a little. Also did not put ANY salt in-you dont need additional salt with Feta Cheese!
Easy, but I wouldn’t add any salt until it’s blended, and then taste to see if it needs it. I didn’t add the whole 1/2 tsp., and it’s still way too much salt. I’m hoping it will mellow after a few hours in the fridge.
Great Recipe ❤️ Made it for Easter. I would definitely say leave out the salt til after it’s made and you taste it. The amount on the recipe was too much!!
Also, slowly add olive oil while it’s processing to get a smoother consistency if you need it.
Amazing dip! My family absolutely loved it so I will definitely be making it again. Thank you!
Can I use a hand mixer? My food processor is small.
Yes! That works great!
I want to make the recipe and do do my friends and we want to follow you but there are just way too many advertisements to the point of being ridiculous.
I understand you may need a sponsor… But there is no one place to get the recipe without having 3-4 ads in every step… Sigh. I wanted to share with my friends but two of them said the same thing… How do I get to the recipe and I even went to your. Com site. It’s there a way I’m missing? Thank you.
Hi! I am so sorry for the inconvenience and I appreciate feedback so thank you! When you go to my site, at the top right there is a button that says “Jump to Recipe”. If you click on that it takes you down to the bottom of the page where the recipe card is that has the ingredients, measurements and instructions.
Enjoyed this dip very much. I forgot to put in garlic but since we grow our own garlic, I won’t forget next time. I’m planning on a platter with cucumber slices, carrots and spreading some on celery as well.
Very delicious – can you freeze this dip?
This dip is best made just before serving.
In the picture there are 2 cloves of garlic, but the recipe only calls for one? Which do you use,
Thanks
Hello! It’s just one clove of garlic. The picture shows one that is broken up.
Is this recipe gluten free?
This recipe is gluten-free!
I wanted to like it, but felt more like a spread for a morning bagel…not a dip:(
Love this dip. I use the flavored feta like tomato basil. So delicious. I used lemon the first time but my family was not a big fan of that flavor so I cut the it and the salt this time. Yummy
Delicious!!! Especially with fresh pita!!
So salty unsalvageable. Had to throw out. Very disappointed.
If too thick, thin down with plain Greek yoghurt, do not any additional salt, then you only have the salt from your feta.
I loved this recipe.
Does it freeze well?
I would make this dip fresh for the best results! 🙂
Your recipe calls for 1/2 lemon juice and zest. Could you please state how much that would be, half of how much?
The juice and zest from 1/2 a lemon!
The dip looks super easy and delicious, but your recipe doesn’t list what you used as a garnish for your dip in the recipe’s photo. What is it? Extra virgin olive oil, chopped parsley, and paprika?
Yes! That is all correct!
