The holidays are the perfect time to celebrate with pork. I wanted to get creative with this recipe and deliver some major flavor with every bite. I love cooking pork in the slow cooker and it is especially amazing when it is wrapped in bacon. The bacon-wrapped pork slow cooks and makes the meat super tender and juicy. Then, you put on a sticky caramelized maple mustard glaze on top of this pork and it’s incredible. It is the perfect finishing touch!

- Real maple syrup: Using real maple syrup will give you the best flavor and depth to this meat.

Let simmer until thickened.
- Brush with glaze and broil: Remove the pork from the slow cooker and place on a baking sheet. Brush the top of the pork with the maple mustard sauce and broil for 2-3 minutes until the top is brown and caramelized. Enjoy!
Tips for Cooking Pork
This bacon wrapped maple glazed pork is so good but you don’t want to eat it until it’s been safely cooked! Here are a few tips to make your pork turn out perfect.
- Use a meat thermometer: Pork is done when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. Use a meat thermometer to double check this. You don’t want your meat to be undercooked!
- Let it rest: When your meat is done cooking, before you cut into it, then let it rest on a plate for 10 minutes. This is where the juices really settle into the meat and make it juicy and tender. Don’t skip this step!
How to Store Leftovers
If you have leftovers of this, you can store it and save it for later! It’s so good and makes a great dinner for the next night too!
- Refrigerator: You can store your leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. They will last for 3-4 days.
- Reheat: You can easily reheat leftovers in your microwave. Cover them up and then cook them at 50% power for a minute or two (or until heated through). The bacon won’t be crispy but the flavor will be there!

This is a staple piece in this house we love this recipe!!!!!!
Dezirae, thank you so much for the review and the comment! I’m so glad you guys love it!
So whatโs the salt and pepper for? Itโs not mentioned in the cooking instructions. And is the bacon actually wrapped around the pork or more laid or the top of it? I doubled the sauce and added small cubes sweet potatoes to the pot. Letโs see how it turns out.
Would honey be an ok substitute for the maple syrup? Not a maple lover….
Sure! That would work.
I made this with two pork tenderloin pieces, and it turned out wonderful! I did watch the temperature, and it took only 3 hours or so to reach 165 (we like our pork well done). The glaze was great, and made enough to spoon over the meat on our plates. Definitely a keeper!
Delicious! Loved every bite
This looks amazing! Can you adapt the recipe to cook in the oven, please ?
I have not tried it in the oven yet. Let me know what you do and how it turns out! Thanks so much for following along with me! XOXO
Does the bacon crisp under the broiler, or does it retain a softer texture from the moist heat cooking method? I am thinking my kids might enjoy this more if I adapted it to carefully oven roasting, then glazing and broiling. Thanks for your considered opinion.
This was delicious! The bacon gave the pork a wonderful, smoky flavor. At four hours, my pork registered close to 190 degrees, but the meat didn’t taste dry at all. Next time, though, I will check the temperature a tad earlier. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.
I made this recipe for our Christmas dinner tonight. Oh my, it was so good, turned out so moist and flavorful. All 10 of us thought this was one of the best pork roasts we have ever had! Thank you!
YAY!! That is great to hear! I am so glad it worked out so well! Thanks so much for sharing! XOXO
