A recipe with the first ingrediment being a package of a pre-mixed product fails to be a recipe worth trying. If you’re not starting from scratch, what’s the point?

Made with Newmans own Italian salad dressing as i was unable to find a Italian dressing mix.Newmans incorporates the white wine vinegar and olive.
Tescos own 50% less fat cream cheese is also a fab alternative.

First time in making it and cooked in the slow cooker on low for 6 hours. 2 days later i made another batch (High for 4 hours) as the first was a big hit for my partner and me. Very easy to make and quick.
All flavours contribute to themselves and is definitely a win win!

We LOVE this dressing. It’s tangy and herby and flavorful. I have no idea if it tastes like OG salad dressing, but it’s really delicious. We load the salad itself up with whatever crunchy vegetables we have on hand and giant piles of freshly grated parmigiano – and of course olives and pepperoncini. Absolutely yum.

This is basically a vinaigrette with mayonnaise added, nothing like Olive Garden Italian. Where’s the Romano cheese?

  6. This recipe tastes terrible. I made it just like it said and it has a bite to it and not the same flavor. I poured it out. I’ll continue to buy Olive garden salad dressing from the store.

I don’t usually comment unless I really like something and I really like this dressing. I always try and make the recipe the first time exactly like it is written and I’m glad I did. If you like the Olive Garden dressing you will like this. I won’t be changing a thing. Great.

  8. I am SO picky when it comes to salad dressing.
    This is exceptional.
I made the dry mix and followed these instructions.
I used a mixer stick to put it together and its heavenly

  9. how much of the homemade dressing would you use as i have no idea how much is in the packet

Delicious! Made the homemade Italian seasoning, super easy and tasty. I like it better than the restaurant’s. Keeping this recipe for later ♥️

  10. how do you make your own italian salad dressing mix is it just the italian spice i have in my spice rack or something different

  11. Do you happen to have a recipe for Italian dressing that is red? When we go to an Italian restaurant the dressing is usually red and that is by far my favorite. I will for sure give this one a try however! Thank you!
