My family can all agree on one thing as a side for dinner. Garlic Bread. Garlic Bread is such a delicious and easy side to make and one of the fastest things to go. I love to make a homemade garlic bread spread.

It only takes a few minutes to mix it all together and it is perfectly toasted and the perfect addition to any meal.

Do I need to wrap my garlic bread in foil?

If you want your bread to not be as crispy on the outside you can wrap your bread in foil. It will be more soft on the inside, just make sure the butter is completely melted inside.

  1. Since my son and I can’t eat a whole loaf of bread by ourselves, can I bake half and freeze the other half (without baking) for later with the spread on it? This sounds delicious!

I bake several loaves, half them, let them cool completely, wrap in foil, place in a plastic bag and freeze. They freeze really well! Reheat gently.

    2. If you and your son can’t eat too much bread invite me over and I’ll eat what you and your son can’t eat.

The best garlic bread is not a great enough description for how good this bread is! I made it for a group dinner. 5 adults and 2 kids, everyone loved it! It’s just as good the next day if you reheat it in the microwave. I had made double, so I still have some left and it’s ridiculously hard not to finish it all right now!

Wow! I just made this to go with dinner and it is amazing! Best garlic bread I’ve ever had! I’ll be making this again.

This garlic bread has a different flavor from the store bought kind. But different in a good way! More herby. Felt like it could use just a little more oomf’ then it’d be perfect.

  5. I am going to make this bread with a homemade lasagna but wanted to double says “spread evenly on each side of the bread”, does this mean the top of each half..or both sides of each half?

      1. I think the wording would have been better understood if you said to butter on each half of the bread. At first I too though you meant each side (top and bottom) I knew that was wrong and it should be each half or slice..

This was delicious! I didn’t have any cheese on hand and didn’t want to go to the store so I just did without–it was still wonderful! I want to go eat the last two pieces now!

Made this for my family after my mother left us, and my dad and brother both loved it, myself included! Thank you for helping this 19 year old bring her family together for a night of Italian. ???
