Ingredients for Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

- Fresh Corn: Keep the corn simple and serve it with salted butter, or dress it up with some fresh herbs and spices.
How to Make Air Fryer Corn on the Cob
Once I started making corn in the air fryer, I never looked back. It’s quick, easy, and gives you perfectly tender corn. Frozen corn on the cob works great too, just thaw it or cook it a little longer. Use it in my Crack Corn on the Cob, Corn Salad, Jiffy Corn Casserole, and Grilled Mexican Street Corn.
- Add Olive Oil: Remove the husks and silks, then place the corn in the basket of the air fryer, then rub the olive oil evenly on the corn. Add salt and pepper.
- Air Fry: Cook in the air fryer at 370ºF for 12-15 minutes or until tender.

How to Pick the Perfect Corn
Don’t pull back the husks at the store. It dries out the corn and shortens its shelf life. Instead, look for these signs:
- Silks: Choose corn with brown, slightly sticky silks. Avoid silks that are black, dry, or brittle.
- Husks: Look for bright green husks that wrap tightly around the cob. Skip any with brown spots or small holes.
- Give It a Squeeze: The cob should feel firm, with plump kernels and no gaps or soft spots
Must Have Tools For This Recipe
- Air Fryer: Cook the corn in batches, so it has room for the air to circulate.
- Sharp Knife: Use a knife to trim the ends of the corn if it’s too long to fit in your air fryer basket.

Do I need to thaw the corn first if frozen?
Yes I would recommend thawing it first.

Do melted butter instead of oil?
I use oil to cook it in the air fryer, then spread butter on after to eat it.
I will not cook corn any other way from now on. I had issues with all other methods from boiling (making the corn water logged, watery and flavorless), to BBQ (drying it out), to oven roasted (Not bad, but still I feel like it was losing natural juicy flavor). Eventually I stopped buying corn and cut it out of our diets several years ago, but I recently got an air fryer and found some beautiful corn on sale so I decided I wanted to try it in the air fryer. I found this recipe and it turned out perfect! The first time I followed the recipe to a T and loved it, the next time I played around with some different spice combos I like and every time it turns out perfect. I rolled mine around in the basket a couple of times during the cooking process, but I bet if I just left them sit there it would still turn out great. I rubbed oil on the cobs with my hands and then seasoned before putting them in the air fryer. I wanted to try cooking with butter but after reading above I think you are absolutely right that its more flavorful with the butter added after and oil for cooking. I will still limit the corn from our diets but when I do want it, this is the only way I’ll cook it from now on. I looked up some other recipes before deciding on this one, and I felt like many of the temps seemed very high. This temp is perfect for a fully cooked, gently roasted, flavorful cob! The pictures had me hooked and ultimately I decided because of how amazing it looked. The air fryer locked in the flavor without losing the natural juices, it wasn’t watery or dry. 5 stars, and I have recommended to family!
Perfect! We switched out the salt and pepper for Tajin.
I love your idea to use Tajin instead of salt and pepper! I’m doing this next time!
Delish! Thank you!
Love it
Very delicious!
I added some spices like paprika and thyme to it.
Thank you!
This recipe was very good and juicy but I used butter instead of oil and I also put garlic and herb bread crumbs also really good!
My kids love corn. With this recipe, I’m able to serve them corn whenever they’d like it. I made it for them and we devoured 8 cobs within minutes. Not a kernel left behind
Just got my Ninja Foodi and I cooked corn on the cob following your recipe and OH MY did it come out GREAT. Got great comments from my daughter and family! Came out nice and tender and juicy!! I will be having corn on the cob more often! Thank you
Hi Lynn! Isn’t it the best?! Thanks for giving the recipe a try!
This was so amazing!!! I love roasted vegetables and this was the best I’ve ever had. I did turn halfway and added 4 extra minutes. I am so glad I tried this. The whole family agrees you are a genius!!! I’m always confident that I will love your recipes but you knocked this one clean out of the ballpark!!! Thank you for a new addition ?
Just tried this and it was good but honestly like the boiling method better. This was not as juicy or flavorful.
I love learning how to pick good ears of corn! Great tips!?
I discovered this last year but instead of oil I use spray on butter (I can’t Believe It’s Not Butter) I also turn it half way thru in the air fryer
It was really hard to apply the oil to the corn in the basket. I think that the oil needs to be applied before putting in basket then add a sprinkle of cajun seasoning ??
I used olive oil. When done, I buttered, salted, and sprinkled with a little Parmesan cheese. So yummy and no water dripping on you when biting in! Thank you!!
I am so happy I found this recipe to be able to make corn!! It was so quick and simple. I used light EVOO and just mixed salt, pepper, and paprika. I think this would work really well to make a Mexican street corn on the cob!!
Oooh, I love Mexican street corn! Sounds delicious!
