Our lives have been revolving around cross country and lacrosse at our house. They both have practice twice during the week and then we have games all day on Saturday. Yesterday was our last game and I feel so much more freedom! Having kids involved in busy sports can be tough. This is why I love to still have a hearty meal for my family and soup is the perfect thing!

Since I am obsessed with all things tuscan garlic… (seriously you have got to try this Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken), I knew that a soup version of this popular dish had to be made.

This soup you guys. Turned out INCREDIBLE!!

  1. Made this soup for the first time. I used 2 chicken breasts and used the broth in the soup.
Soup turned out delicious. Husband loved it!

    1. Almond milk unfortunately will not be as thick, rich creamy. It may work but it will alter the taste as well as it setting up properly.

  2. Have made the Tuscan Tortellini Soup twice and my husband and I loved it. The ingredients are things that we always have on hand and it’s so easy, the only change was using “Tuscan Seasoning” in place of “Italian Seasoning” and hubby added a little red pepper to his. This soup has been added to our rotation of favorites and I shared your link with my daughter’s.

  3. I love this soup! Always get a craving for it, it’s so easy to put together and it tastes so good. I like to let the broth dimmer on the stove before adding the spinach and tortellini. One of my favorites!

  4. Made this for dinner tonight, had everything already on hand except the beans and I used Tuscan seasoning instead of Italian. It’s a definite keeper! Perfect meal for my husband and I while snowed in this week.

  5. Parmesan sunk right to the bottom even though I added it slowly and stirred constantly. When I make it again, which is a for sure thing, I’ll add Parmesan as a topping once the soup is in the bowl! Easy and delicious recipe, thanks!

  6. I love this soup and have made it several times. I did omit the chicken for a vegetarian soup. I have a question, can this soup be frozen? If so, how long would it be good for in the freezer? Thanks for a new fav recipe!

    1. Yes, this soup can be frozen without the tortellini noodles. I would recommend about 3 to 6 months in the freezer. Thanks so much for following along with me!

  7. Made the Creamy Tuscan Garlic Tortellini soup today.. Can’t stop eating it. Delicious. Brought a big bowl to my daughters to share. It’s a keeper. Thank you for sharing.

  8. Absolutely delicious. I made this with my ten year-old son and we ate every bite! Looking forward to trying some of your other recipes.

  9. Hi…I came across the recipe for the Creamy Tuscan tortellini soup. It looks great. I have a problem and maybe you can help. It will not print properly.

    1. I have tried printing it and it is working for me. Have you tried it lately?! I hope you are able to get it to print. You can also copy/paste it into a word document and print it from there.

  10. Hi I am always looking for recipes to make when camping that use ingredients the do not require a lot of refrigerated items. I was thinking of substituting evaporated milk for the cream, using canned chicken and using the dried version of tortellini. What do you think?

    1. That may work great! Let me know how it turns out! It will alter the taste and maybe the texture but it should still taste good! Hope you enjoy it! XOXO

  11. Oh man, I love the idea of this soup. But every time I’ve made it I always have to double the broth! 4 cups is just not enough for the amount of other things going in the soup. Has anyone else ran into this?

    1. I have actually had this happen once, and realized I accidentally bought a bigger pack then recommended in the recipe of the tortellini so it absorbs way more of my broth. Was still delicious but was more like a creamy pasta. I would just make sure you’re using the recommended size of tortellini for the recipe.

  12. Just made this tonight for supper and it was delicious! Couple of tweaks for me…I erroneously bought crushed tomaotoes instead of diced and I decided to just roll with them since that’s what I had. I used about 1/2 the can and it worked out fine. I also used 1/2 package of frozen spinach and finally I added a good heaping table spoon of garlic and herb cream cheese and that really added another level of richness and creaminess. Thanks for such a great recipe!

  13. Alysa i just wanted to let you know that the Tuscanvgarlic chicken soup is the best I’ve had. I love your recipes. They are always so original and tasty. Keep them coming.

    1. That is great to hear! Thank you so much for sharing! I am so glad that you enjoyed it and it tasted so good! Thank you so much for letting me know and following along with me! XOXO
