Currently have this cooking with about 40 minutes left and I forgot the onion mix soup. Can I still add it in or will it mess it up?
Sorry I am just seeing this. Yes you should be fine to add it with 40 minutes left. It just won’t be as flavorful as the flavors won’t have soaked in as long. But 40 minutes should be long enough to get it absorbed enough.
would this work using beef short ribs
Hi Danny! Yes, you can use short ribs, just make sure the meat is cooked all the way through before eating. Let me know how it turns out!
Delicious recipe, I used wine instead of the water when I mixed in the cornstarch, which gave it a nice flavor. We loved it!
Which kind of wine did you use?
I made this a few days ago and it was amazing and delicious!! I left it in the pot a little bit too long and the meat got a little bit dry but the flavor was divine!
Is there something I could replace the onion soup mix in the beef tips slow cooker recipe every time I use the onion soup mix my stomach gets upset otherwise this recipe I can’t wait to try
I put a 1/2cup of red wine, omg amazing. Thank you.
this is a family favorite, I put it on homestyle mashed potatoes and it’s perfect
This recipe is soooo delicious!! My son doesn’t really like mushrooms, but he actually ate some with this recipe. Will definitley be making this on the regular.
What kind of mushrooms?
I like to use button mushrooms but you can use whatever you prefer.
I have a child that don’t like mushrooms but the rest of us love them would it hurt not to add them or will that alter the flavor?
You can leave them out!
Leave them in for you, pick them out for your child. Very easy.
This is extremely easy to prepare and amazingly delicious. Made the recipe with half the beef (as there are only 2 of us) and the full sauce recipe and was not disappointed. There was plenty of gravy and it tasted absolutely delicious!
Delicious!! This recipe will be added to our Dinner Rotation so it can be made again.
I bought beef tips. Will that be okay in this recipe or does it need to be stew meat?
Those will work great and be tender and delicious!A
Hi! Could I make dumplings instead? And, add them towards the end of cooking ttime than using corn starch or flour?
I haven’t tried that before! Let me know how it goes!
